DesignEd Asia Conference 2009 / 「設計教育亞洲會議2009」

Jointly organised by School of Design of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and Hong Kong Design Institute (member of VTC Group), and co-organised by Hong Kong Design Centre, the DesignEd Asia Conference has been an annual leading international event in design education in Hong Kong since 2004. It provides a practical platform to bring international design educators and professionals together to share views, knowledge and experiences.

The 2-day conference will be divided into four sections, covering “Industrial Design Education” , “Design + Innovative Management”, “Academic Exchange” and “Global Design Network”.


已踏入第五屆的「設計教育亞洲會議」，是香港一年一度的國際性設計教育活動，由香港理工大學設計學院、職業訓練局機構成員香港知專設計學院主辦及香港設計中心協辦。

為期兩天的會議將分四個不同環節進行演講、討論及交流，包括「工業設計教育」、「設計及創新管理」、「學術交流」及「環球設計網絡」。

A Nice Set | Shanghai

Shanghai is the next stop for A Nice Set, a traveling exhibition of customized slipmats designed by leading artists from around the world. Presented by NeochaEDGE and Jellymon, A Nice Set | Shanghai will feature slipmat designs from international artists as well as the first showing of original slipmat designs from emerging Chinese artists. Further integrating the music + art theme, Aerial7 headphones will be customized by Chinese artists and put on display at the exhibition.

Hong Kong Art & Design Festival will be held on Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. Graduates have a chance to display their Profolio and provide New force for the industry. TMDG 2009, Argentina

Icsid World Design Congress

A glittering array of leading figures from the design world will be speaking at the 50th Anniversary Icsid World Design Congress, in Singapore from 23 – 25 November. Themed “Design Difference: Designing our world 2050”, the congress will be the event for all those inspired by the power of design to create a better world. Delegates will have the opportunity to collaborate with the likes of Chris Bangle, and Stefano Marzano who are amongst the nine design experts leading interactive and participative mini-symposia “Design 2050 Studios”.

ILLUSTRATIVE 2009

ILLUSTRATIVE 2009 will return to Berlin to celebrate the cutting edge works of contemporary graphic art. From 16 October to 1 November, ILLUSTRATIVE is featuring an inspiring cornucopia of visual culture. More than 60 international artists participate, including Olaf Hajek, Erik Mark Sandberg, Keiichi Tanaami and Tomer Hanuka (“Waltz with Bashir“). Illustrative is preceded by the Swatch Young Illustrators Award.

ILLUSTRATIVE 2009將重臨柏林,於Swatch Young Illustrators Award後隨即舉行,獎勵創新的個人的現代藝術作品。由十月十六日至十一月一日, ILLUSTRATIVE將請來60位國際藝術家, 包括Olaf Hajek, Erik Mark Sandberg, Keiichi Tanaami和 Tomer Hanuka (“Waltz with Bashir“)。
